Give you a little info here. I have a friend and very now and then I would go to his house and watch his mandarins breed. It's very cool. They spawn in the water colum and they soaked about 3 times in one night. And it happend about 1-2 times a week. We never actually collected the eggs as they were super small and most if them got sucked up into the sump. You will defienetly have to house tune in a tank just for them. All I think you need is a spawning pair.
Well it was a fully stocked reef tank. 1 pair of clowns 2 tangs a couple of firefish and a goby. I belive it was a 125gain but you probably don't need anything that big.
