green monti cap

so one of my fish decided to make part of my green monti cap lunch. its only about 15% of the cap but will it come back or should i trim the white skeleton off of it?

will the polyps regrow in the part that has been striped of its polyps? or should i just cut off the damaged section of the cap?

I'd just keep an eye on it. If the tissue recedes some more in a day or two and doesn't look like it's gona stop than I would frag it. But give it some time I think.

I've found that my montis will encrust over damaged areas given enough time. It takes a while but as long as they are healthy they bounce back. I even had a digi that had some flesh come loose (it was flapping in the current) that I figures was gone and it actually healed and didn't lose the loose flesh.
