Green slim algae?

My tank has gotten a little out of control there is a lot of green algae that looks like slime! I'm assuming it's a green type of cyano but I'm not 100% sure but if anyone knows what it is and can share some of the ways they have gotten rid of it that would help greatly!:)

You can see it on the rocks in the back and on the floor!

I'm currently using it in my 9 gallon nano tank. Bad case of Bryopsis. About 5 doses in, I was able to remove most of it. It just pulled right off the rocks. Still have a way to go, but this stuff is amazing.

So its a bacteria to remove Nitrate and phosphates and subsequently kill the algae or does this somehow work directly on the algae itself. Curious how it compares some of the other bacteria blends that have been around a while.

I've been on a number of forums. The rep from UWC says the bacteria will reduce NO3 & PO4 and at the same time it will attack the various algaes in the tank. For me I noticed within 24 hours that my water was crystal clear. Now I've been using it for about a month. I tried the Kent Tech M. It knocked the Bryopsis down somewhat but never eliminated it. I killed all my snails in the process. The Bryopsis grew back once I stopped. I used Tech M for around 3 months. As the Bryopsis regrew it had a strong grip on my rocks. I could pull on the Bryopsis and lift the rocks out of my tank. Now the Bryopsis pulls right off the rocks. So is the bacteria attcking it directly, it sure does look like it. Also the bubble algae I have is fading. Now I have one spot of Bryopsis that is fighting back. It is in the highest flow area, but even that one section is slowly shrinking. From what I read, your tank could go through stages of looking better, then maybe not change much, but overtime it will get better. I'm sold on it. Again it's a tool and not a crutch. I'm still doing my normal husbandry, cleaning the sand, water changes, etc. I've also started using it in my 45 gallon where I have a little hair algae. I am only dosing 1x/week in that tank vs 2x/week in my nano. The hair algae is disappearing slowly in spots. It's almost as if the weaker algae growths disappear first.

Has anybody seen and negative effects of it? I'm always weary of putting the instant fix kinda products in my system!

On the ********* forum I was following, there was one guy who had issues. Last time I looked there was over 100 pages of people who had good results. The rep from UWC was trying to find out how much he dosed, etc. The person who had issues wasn't helpful.

I don't see the product as a quick fix. In my case with the Bryopsis, it could take me a few months to clear it up. I'm fine with that, nothing else was working.

I also wanted to see how quickly the product would lower NO3. Both my tanks test out as zero for NO3. I dosed my nano with KNO3 to 4ppm and my 45 gallon to 1ppm. I waited 1 hour to confirm that my dosing gave me the 4 & 1ppm levels. I have been checking NO3 each day. After 3 days my nano is at 3ppm and after 2 days my 45 was at 0.5ppm. So the product doesn't lower NO3 quickly. I dosed the KNO3 on the same day after I added the Vibrant product.

I'm happy with it and will continue to use it as a maintenance dose once the tanks clear up. Maintenance is once every 2 weeks. Also the standard dosing is 1ml/10 gallons.

I have 2 or 3 large turbo snails! I have left the lights off for the last 3 days and I plan on doing a large water change tomorrow
