green slimer polyp extension

i got a green slimer frag that has only been in my tank for 10 days. ive noticed that only both branches, a small area of the frag has its polyps retracted. the areas are under less light compared to other areas of the frag. is this light related? is it ok for the frag?

Try the frag in a different spot see what happens, it should be ok. Is there a lot of flow on that side?

i noticed with my green slimer it has better polyp extension a little lower in my tank than super high up
