Green Stap Polyps

Hi All

Are there any ways to rid my tank of Green Star Polyps?? thay are taking over my reef and short of pulling all the rocks and going at them with tweezers Im not sure what to do.

Any help would be appreciated!!

I would try to go in and and take out the rocks that they are on and peel them off with a utility knife.Once you have cut them off the rocks put them in a bowl of tank water and let them sit for 5 to 10 min and then glue them on frag plugs and sell them or on rubble rock.If you do not want them I would put them up for sale.

Heh heh, have fun. Just had to do this to my nano. They are tough buggers when they're happy. I had spots all over in cracks and crevices that came right back. I'd do as stated above, then put some kalk paste in any areas you can't effectively scrape to get the stragglers. All it takes is one polyp and you're right back to where you started soon after.

U can also put black plastic bag over what u can't remove and starve them of light and water flow. It takes a long time tho, like a couple months.

I had coraline growing on the black bag b4 the gsp were gone.
