Green star polyp covering cc

I received a candy cane from a friend but it's covered with green star polyps. How can I get them off without killing the candy cane?

As you can see the problem.

Thanks all

they can hurt the candy cane coral. my candy cane has the same problem in a small area. if you dont want the GSP then remove them now.

It's not a matter of the GSP hurtng the CC through stinging. The GSP will just grow over the CC polyps though which will not be good for the CC. Take an x-Acto knife to the GSP to scrape them off.

Yep. The GSP will grow right over the living CC polyps. Trust me on this. :D

Anemone,
You really know how to get your point across. A picture does say a thousand words, like holy crap lol.

Well, time to get to exacto knife out and get to work.

Thanks for the replies everyone.
