Green Star Polyp wont open =/

So I just bought a huge rock encrusted with green star polyps. At the LFS it looked pretty high quality. I bought it for $145 and took it home and let it acclimate the recomended 15 mins. Its been 24 hours and none of them have started popping out yet.. well, maybe one or 2 polyps out of the hundreds. Should I upgrade my lighting? or any recomendations to get it going like it was in the tank when I bought it?

You have the wrong forum, GSP isn't a zoa or paly. I would however check all of your parameters to start with. Also, inquire of the environment they came from at the LFS. Good luck with them.

Both of the pieces I put in my tank took a couple days to come out, but once they did they were off and running. If your tank measurements are how you like them, I'd give it another day or so.

just be patient. it will come out. I have had mine not come out for a week plus before.

I hope that this was one big a** rock! I'm not trying to call anyone out or anything but $145 is a lot for some green star polyps, as they grow like weeds and by the time I upgraded my tank I just threw most of them out. Other than that give it a few more days and it the polyps should start popping out if your water conditions are decent.
