Green Star Polyp wont' open

Trying to learn why my green star polyps haven't opened in two days.


I have the following lighting in my tank:
t5 HO Fluorescent Light
420/460 Lamps 9:00am -4:00 pm
700+ Lamps 8:00am-8:00 pm
LED 8:00pm-6:00am


This is sitting high in the tank away from current.


Anything I need to do for this guy?

Mine didnt open for like a week or two about a month ago. When i finally figured out it was because there were towards the bottom and my scooter kept getting on them. I moved them up a little and now i dont think they ever close.

Get them just off bottom with a bit of flow on them, they should open.

They prefer high light and high current. Mine gets blasted and grows like a weed.

Mine took several weeks to open up fully. I have been trying low flow and high flow, low light and high light, they def like lotsa light, and lotsa flow. They stay open almost every night even after the lights shut off, they just look a little thinner, as soon as the light comes back on, they puff back up to normal size. The only time they will completely close is when I feed my favia and feather dusters with plankton, I shut the pumps off for at least a half hour...All purple
