I had a green star polyp that was flourishing, then I neglected my tank a bit and had an ugly algae outbreak. Very few of the polyps now extended and the rest seem to be covered in a bit of algae.
The last time, this had happened with a green-start I treated lightly with hydrogen peroxide and the whole thing died. Just wondering what I can do to clean it without killing it?
Can I remove it at night and take a fine-toothbrush and gently rub the algae off it?
