Green to purple???

I just bought a green colored Croacea clam. I took it home and now it looks purple. I have a 150 gallon tank with 3 metal halides 250 watt lamp on each plus 4 vho actinic. Please help me figure this out. Thanks...

In the store were you looking at it from above? I have a crocea that is blueish purple from the side, but when you look at him from above it is bright green. Also, what color temp are your halides? Stores usually use 20k's to bring out colors, and if your tank is 10k's they won't look as good.
