I purchased a green tree coral (leather) from a local aquarium. It was about 4" high and a good strong clean stock and fully bloomed. In one week it has shriveled up and lays on the bottom. I have other corals that are doing well. Especially the Taro tree coral.
Tank specs:
75 gallon, with full 6-lamp T5 HO light, eheim cansiter filter, uv sterilizer, Coralife high-end protein skimmer. All fish are doing well. However, coral banded shrimp died redently after moulting.
Temp: 77
Salinity: 1.026
PH: 8.0
Ammonia: 0
Nitrites: 0
Nitrates: 30
Calcium: 400
KH: 214.8
Phosphates: .25
Iodine: .06
Copper: not tested
Tank has been stable for last 3 months. I'm new to this so I'm open for suggestions/critisizims...
It's the first coral that has been in trouble. 13% water change every 2 weeks.
