"Green week" what do you cycle on/off

In light of this being "Green Week" what items running on your system do you cycle on and off, and what sort of pattern.

Lights are pretty obviously not run all day (well, any system I have seen except perhaps refugium lights)

Do you cycle other things on/off rather than run them continuously? Skimmers/in line pumps/filtration/uv etc.

I do cycle the in line pump on and off many times throughout the day with a varying time on and off. That is really the only item not running continuous other than the lighting.

Have been thinking about running the skimmer in a part time mode with a few hours break each day, not sure about the rest.

Actually I cycle my lights on/off 2-3 times a day depending on what day it is, on the timer, they stay off for about 45 mins. I find I get better growth

halides on for 8 hours--attinics on for 10 hours

I use hydors for power heads--very low energy users

The biggest energy user is a mag3600 pump on 24/7--don't know anyway around the use of that one

I dunno about others, but I hate messing with turning the skimmer off. Once I get it set the way I want it, if I were to turn it off then back on I would have to re-set it. I'm using an external beckett.

As far as saving energy, I switched out all the bulbs in my apartment for those flourescent ones. My bathroom alone had one of those vanity fixtures using 5 60w incandescents, I traded them out for 3 of the 13w flourescents. Before, the bathroom lighting was more electricity than one of my halides.

Yeah, we swapped out 90% of the bulbs in our house to the compact florescent screw in style for energy savings...we will see if they actually burn for 7 years as the packaging states.

I switched all of my bulbs out for CFL several months ago and have saved a decent amount of money. I also taped up all of my windows with plastic because the windows in the apartment are garbage.

No change in tank operation. I am waiting on a new light fixture so I am only running 2x65 and my corals are as huge as they were with 4x65PC.

I have no sump so there is no big pump moving water around.

forgot to add--I'm running a 25watt energy saver bulb over my refugium:
