Can anyone tell me what seems to be a green chunk about size of a dime with purple spikes going into the sand....I tried to get a picture but no luck...actually looked at it thru my magnifying glass... Not sure if this is why my Kole Tang is acting weird...not eating, he's hiding in the rock and when he does swim it not his normal motions....

No clue what your unidentified object is. How large and how old is the tank? What are the parameters (sg/ammonia/nitrite/nitrate/alk/ca/mg)? How long have you had the tang?

Tank has been running for around 3 months

Tank - 100 gallon
90lbs Live Rock
90lbs Live Sand
2 Clowns
1 Fox Face
1 Sail Fin
1 Cleaner Shrimp
1 Royal
3 Water Circulation Heads
UV Serilizer
3 Sock Sump
Eshopps Protein Skimmer

All readings at zero....did a water 25% water change 1 week ago...

I've had the Kole Tang approximately 1 1/2 months...

One thing I just noticed which was strange, he swam over to my shrimp and let the shrimp crawl all over him...he has never done that ....

hard to say could be some green hair algae with some cyano mixed in. I would guess the kole decided to let the shrimp clean him off.
