I have a Maroon clown about 2.5 inches with yellow tint of stripes. I had her about a year and she has grown nicely. She is has never been aggressive.
The problem is that the clown has developed a grey "circular bump" on one of her stripes. It is slightly pertruding, so it does not seem like a change in pigment.
I have a reef tank and now have a small amount of fish in my 55 gallon with lots of live rock and live sand. I have 2 damsels, 1 maroon clown, 1 goby, 1 cleaner shrimp and snails.
Recently, I installed a night light. I did also receive a large Zoo that had been placed in the opposite side of the tank, that the clown does not go into.
Water quality is good and has not changed. 1.025 salt, ph 8.3, nitrite 0, nitrate 5 to 10. Calcium at 400. I have a number of coral frags that I started my reef with several months ago. I also have started to see more Amphipods and not just the copepods on my tank.
