Greyson's 18G Nano Build

So i pulled out purigen and phosguard because my levels of phos and nitrates were literally 0 and i was starving all my coral especially my sps so i just left chemipure elite in there and been feeding heavy... Got my nitrates up to 5 ppms and corals are loving it. Picked up two little neon red discos and a nee acan frag baby blue and purple. I plan on making a mushroom and acan garden.

This tank has a black acrylic back, so i didn't have an option. Blue is not bad, Black is better. But if it was up to me i wouldn't have any background honestly. I like the completely clear ada style look the best which is probably my next tank.

I have no background on my 29 the dude at the LFS nagged me about it but I don't care I give him my money and he gives my the crap I picked out. I love my no background all you have to do is keep it algae free because with no background it makes the algae much more prominent.

yep exactly ! my next tank will be clear on all sides.

I have a blue wall behind it so it looks much better than a solid color background. The dude at the LFS has saltwater backgrounds on his FW I don't think that is natural. his main point when he wanted me to get a background. He said its natural to have a background. Last I checked zoas don't live in rivers and lakes

What are your thoughts on the light? Would you have went a different route or do you like it? I'm considering that or the 160 for my IM 10 gallon
