does anyone have one are they reef safe? cannot find much about them only Iknow where one is for sale about eight inches , would appreciate any imput

You might have better luck finding information under the correct spelling, Griffis.

Latin name Apolemichthys griffisi.

I would expect it to be pretty similar in reef safeness to a bandit angel. Reef questionable, but probably not recommended for hardcore reefs. It probably will nip on some corals, mainly softies.
