Ground fault isolater problem

I bought one of these last week from custom aquatics and it doesn't seem to work. Controller works just fine without it, but when I hook the isolator in line the computer can no longer see the controller. Is this a faulty unit? Or do I need to do something to get it to work?

Who should I return this to? Neptune Systems or Custom Aquatics?

FYI, I notice that Neptune systems is closed through July 5th. Curt did say he would be checking email periodically. I assume you are talking about the ground isolator for the serial cable, and not a ground fault circuit (two entirely different things).

Yep, ground loop, not fault. I guess I'll just wait till they reopen, thanks for the info. An automated e-mail response stating the above should be mandatory for a company of this size IMO.
