Ground probe???

For wiring outlets, you can either wire them in series or in parallel. If in series, the outlets are wired one after the other. In this case, the wires from the plug would go to one outlet, and then wires would go from that outlet to the next. That means if the first outlet trips, then the second gets shut down as well. Wiring in parallel means the plug wires go to both outlets. This way they both have power and if one trips, the other still gets power from the plug.

Others can probably explain it better, but in the case of my box pictured above, I wired the hots from each receptacle to the hot from the plug, the neutrals to the neutral from the plug, and the ground to the ground on the plug.

I think i got you, One hot in split it to 2 outlets and one nuetral in split to 2 outlets and one ground in split to 2 outlets. What parts do i need to make one? can you put more than 2 outlets in a box??

I used wire nuts and I think 14 gauge wire. In the box I used, you can only put two. There may be other kinds of boxes. You can string a few of these together if need be. I'd ask gobyholic. Also, keep in mind you can only put so much stuff on one household circuit.

I'd bet it would cost about $30 to maybe $40, only because those GFCI outlets are around $12 each, plus a box and some wire.

I use a grounding probe and they definitely work, although I don't find them as important with an external pump. Also, First Alert makes a couple of different power strips that prevent fires from starting. Power strips are a leading cause of house fires.

Yep. I'm pretty sure anyway. They may have some for $8, but it seems like most of the ones I saw were $11 or $12. Maybe not. Let us know if you source it out. :)

I think I used the heavy duty leviton outlets (20A ?) and they were around $12 each. I just used whatever they had there at the time. The case and wire weren't that much, so yeah around $30 for the whole deal. It does look like you can get the outlets for cheaper on ebay.

I used only 2 because I have power strips for my AC Jr. connected to each.
