Group of fairy/flashers in 60 cube

I would like to have a group of fairy/flasher wrasses for my 60g cube. I am curious if anyone has had experience with this and any suggestions as far is combining types and how many. I really enjoy the colors of the red headed fairy wrasse, exquisite, scott's, lineatus, McCosker and a leopard would be nice.

I currently only have a mated pair of Ocellaris. Thank you.

A 60 cube does not really have the footprint for several of the fish on your list. The scott's and lineatus get pretty big and the scotts can be aggressive toward other fairy and flasher wrasses.

Flasher wrasses when going through their displays use a lot of swimming room, though it can work in a 60.

A leopard should be fine.

Other otions would be some of the smaller species of fairy wrasse.

I'm sorry to rain on your plan, but I must agree with eatbreakfast.

It's a tough size for wrasses, and it's too small for most. Of those you listed, only the leopard is suitable, imo.

Paracheilinus (flashers) are not suitable for this tank, neither are any Cirrhilabrus (fairys) which exceed 3.5-4" at maturity. Macropharyngodon (leopards) can work, as can Halichoeres species which do not exceed 5" at maturity.

Thank you both for the reply. I will keep doing research and find what best suits my tank.

I always thought flashers are ok for a tank that size but that is why I asked.

In my experience, the Scott's and the Lineatus need a larger tank than that. I tried a pair of each in a 120-gal tank and it was a mistake. The males of both of those species exceed 5" TL. In my case, it was the male Scott's that was the dominant fairy wrasse in the tank, especially after he killed off the male Lineatus.
