Group Order Coral, Inverts, Fish - Jan. 31st

Well all the remaining shrimp were doing fine until my orange spot rabbitfish ate all the new ones. I'm a bit confused as I never thought that would be possible with a rabbitfish. But I saw it happen so ohh well that's a lot O' money down the drain.

The funny thing is that the rabbitfish is the main fish that uses the cleaner shrimp on a daily basis?

Any clue what may have happened? would the rabbitfish do this if the felt that the shrimp were not doing well??

This just hasnt been my luckiest group buy.

As of this morning... My shrimp and snails all looked really good. Dont know if you all noticed, but I posted some pics late last night.

How long does it normally take for a fish and shrimp join, so the shrimp starts cleaning the fish?(its a clown and a cleaner shrimp)

theres no guarantee that the shrimp will even clean the clown really. My cleaner shrimp ignores my clowns even when they use to back into the shrimp (like they wanted to be cleaned). So i've never really seen mine clean my clown pair and i've had them for....7 months together? But actually i did see it clean the inside of one's mouth about a month ago....but honestly...i would think it a good thing if the shrimp ISNT cleaning the fish. Wouldn't that mean there's no parasites to clean? lol, just the way i look at it ;)

I only got the zoo's in this order and they look brown with orange or yellow centers. Not nearly as colorerful as last time. But they are colored just like it said. Hopefully the will brighten up after a couple of days. The brown looks green as they are opening but turns brown when they are fully opened. I will post a picture as soon as I get a chance and they are all open.

Yup, my HUGE rock of zoo's that I was so excited about turned out exactly the same :( Orangish/Yellow dot in center, dull greenish middle with a dull brown edge. It also came with a couple Green Star Polyps a strewn about the colony.

My fish is very shy and displaying his "I'm ****ed off don't screw with me" colors while huddling under a rock, but he comes out and loses those colors as soon as I feed....then someone goes over to check out the new tank mate and he freaks back over to his rock. Hopefully he'll get over this soon.

Hey Everybody, I sent out refunds for the items that weren't in stock. If you paid cash, just call me to arrange something.

The Coco worms are great, well worth the $22. My tang is also good a bit skinny but eating. My wrasse was dead when I picked him up. :(
