growing phytoplankton

Anyone doing it locally that I can get a starter batch from? I know I can order all the stuff to start it, but figured I would ask (to speed the process).

I could give you a starter bottle if you can make it up to mount dora some time. I have a few gallons in the fridge. You will still need to order some fertilizer to grow it with though. I could spot you enough to do a batch, but if you plan to keep a culture going, you will need to order some from Florida aqua farms. Just a small 400l bottle of fertilizer goes a long way and cost $6.20 + shipping.

That would be great! I work in Mt. Dora, so making it up there is no problem.. LOL

If you could spot me a startup that would be great, and I would love to bend your ear about your process if you don't mind.

I have a sick kid this weekend, but will be more then happy to give you a starter and show you how to get started. PM me and we can either meet some place, or i can tell you how to get to my house if you know the area. I live right in the middle of everything here, but on one of those 2 block long streets to nowhere lol. Bay Road just off of old 441. If i need to meet you somewhere, it will have to be monday or after.

All you need is 2 two litter bottles, some air line and diverter, an air pump, and a clip on shop light fixture with a lights of america bulb plugged into a timer set for 16hrs a day of light. You will have a years supply of phyto in about a month.

Im actually leaving in the AM for Tampa for the weekend. It sometime this week good for you? Very familiar with the area, so can head to your house, or meet where ever is convienant for you.

Pm me any time next week and we can set something up. Try and find a small bottle with an eye dropper, and I will will give you some fertilizer also. I'm pretty much always free, being that i play poker online lol, so it shouldn't be an issue.
