verry nice, from what read potasium helps to bring colors back, in blues specialy, did test potasium levels before you dose? what test kit did you use?

I used/use bright wells potassium along with their product called coral kolor. I don't have a test kit so i brought it to a friends and it came out to be 240ppm before I started dosing. I use instant ocean salt and don't do a lot of water changes so my gut feeling was that it was going to be low. I haven't retested it since but i only follow the recommended dosage so I don't think I am in any major risk of over doing it.

Is it just me or in some of those pictures it just seems the lighting or white balance (on camera) has changed?

Nope, i wish i was that good. I put the camera setting on auto and take the flash off and click. I don't edit anything. The camera will select its own white balance so it may change the look. I also run one more blue bulb in the mix in the most current pictures then i did 2 months ago. I have new bulbs coming in monday so it may change the look to be a bit more crisp white with some pop and a bit less blue.

Looks really good Chris!! Funny thing, I recently started to dose Iodide (potassium iodide) and several LPS & SPS corals have began to take off too with some new growth and a really deepening of color...which is what I have been missing in my tank (pale/pastel colors). I wonder if the potassium base is having an effect? Are you dosing strait Potassium..which brand?

I just ordered me and my wife's Christmas present to each other...a new SLR Camera with a Macro lens!!!:bounce1:...I can't wait to take some pics...:D:D
This way I too can post before and after pics that are 'nice' to look at.

EDIT: I missed your post above...you use Brightwells. I may look into that myself.

I dose the following bright wells products over the past month and a half.

POTASSION 2 CAPFULS PER WEEK
FERRION 5/6 DROPS A DAY BUT A MISS A DAY EVERY NOW AND THEN
IODION 5/6 DROPS A DAY BUT A MISS A DAY EVERY NOW AND THEN

Brightwells products are cheap so that why i went with them. I really have notice increase growth and color in my zoanthids and palys since dosing the above but i think it had a lot to do with low iodine. I am not preaching dosing elements but i only do a 5g water change per month in a 50g tank. I have no doubt that i am losing elements from growth and skimming so i concluded i needed to re add them back in. When i was doing constant water changes in the past i didn’t dose any of these.

Is there a test kit for Pot, just started the same set of additives a few days ago, will take some startup pics.

chris88 if I were you I would have my potassium levels tested. Are you dosing a carbon like vodka?? If not the you should be very very careful with potassium. I thought I had all the signs of low potassium. Started dosing a minimum dose over a few weeks. Was still having problems. Have everything test, potassium was twice what NSW is, not good. I have stopped dosing everything but kalk in ATO. All my corals are doing awesome. If you dose carbon then bacteria consume potassium as they grow so supplementing is need to up color. Always test for what your dose.

Yes i dose vinegaqr saturated with kalk as a carbon source. I only tested the potassium the initial time before i started dosing and it was around 240ppm, i haven't re tested since i began dosing. I have also stoped dosing the carbon (vinegar) because my nutrients are to low.

Impressive. I've switched to Royal Nature salt, which has high levels of potassium and seen similar results.
