Odd that it's dead. The tank has only had livestock in for about two weeks. I don't even know where it came from. Oh well, bye sponge.

Did you add live rock to your tank? The sponge could live as long as you don't take it out of the water and wedge it in a hole or crevice in some live rock. But with most sponges once they hit the air they're toast.
