It looks like some type of sponge to me. In most cases these are harmless, but the one you have looks like it's smothering the coral. You might want to remove the Trumpet and put it in a bucket of water. Use either your fingers or perhaps some tweezers and see if you can remove the sponge. GL.

rofl. I am blind. i was talking about the skinny tube and you have a large mass on your coral. yes it looks like a sponge.

If you decide to take that route, remember that sponges can regenerate from a single spore. What I would do is carefully scrape off all that you can and then use an eyedropper or perhaps a syringe to rinse the area with hydrogen peroxide, being careful to keep if from touching the trumpet. I would guess that it (the H2O2) will do the same to the sponge as it does to invasive algae.

Looks like maybe a vermetid snail?

They're a bit different from most snails, as their shells grow on solid substrates. They secrete a mucous "net" or "fishing line", and cast it into the current to trap small floating bits of yumminess, which they then reel in and consume.

They're not dangerous, but some folks (and some corals, presumably) find them annoying.
