Growths on clown goby. Help

Yellow clown goby. He's been in my QT for a few weeks. Never got his color, has always been translucent. Started getting these white growths inside him. Now they appear to be protruding. Anyone know what this is or if I can help him? Best pic I could get.

With a quick internet search (yellow clown goby bumps & yellow clown goby has bumps) I found several people that had exactly the same issue but I wasn't able to find a confirmed diagnosis or treatment.

I'm pretty sure it is some form of parasite or disease and not just malnutrition as some claim.
