GRRR.....newb frustrated w/ cloudy water.

Just finished 180 gal main and 50gal sump. Used purified water and Sera salt mix. Substrate is fine white sand. Problem is the water is cloudy, you can see very fine white specks/dusts floating around. It's been over a week already, still hasnt diappeared and very frustrating. I suspect the fine white sand is to blame here. Turned off all the powerheads overnight except for the return to see if it will clear up but its all the same. Anybody out there who help with these problem? Thanks

could be from new water. the term is new tank syndrome i believe.

If its a new set up just keep it running a let it cycle.
It will eventually clear up

No worries. Once you decrease the amount of flow it should clear up.
