Grrr, whats the deal with Fedex tracking

9:17 AM At dest sort facility SAN JOSE, CA

8:47 AM On FedEx vehicle for delivery SOQUEL, CA

8:34 AM At local FedEx facility SOQUEL, CA

6:51 AM At dest sort facility SAN JOSE, CA

5:04 AM Departed FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN

12:04 AM Arrived at FedEx location MEMPHIS, TN Dec 14, 2006

Why do my packages seem to take the longest route possiable? From looking at this, it went to close to my house, then back over to San Jose, only to be brought back to SC later?

I've had shipments from LA go to Atlanta first, Seattle first, and this jumping back over to SJ has happened several times as well. You'd think they'd be a bit more efficient at this by now :lol:

I've had more shipments gone awry with FedEx, than I care to remember I like UPS so much better.

What can brown do for you?

It is due to their hub system. For example, Delta main facility is in ATL. so Delta first cargo from LA goes to ATL to be processed. Based on cost efficient, numbers tell all.

hahaha, classic. I had a FEDEX tracking about 2 years ago, that went from Arizona, to Florida, to Hawaii, and finally to its destination in Santa Barbara.

Understood, having MAJOR shipping experience in both air cargo and companies like Fedex/DHL, but, this is not like that. This came to the destination sorting facility, it passed thru all the hubs Now it's back in SJ. Where is the effiecney there? No matter how you crunch the numbers, it's not cheaper to send something to one city, then another, back to the first, then back to the final

I ship hundreds of boxes with Fedex and DHL. UPS we have a company policy not to use them. They've destroyed more shipments then all others combined for us.

After talking with Fedex, my package did come and go, only to return :lol: Apperantly I'm closer to SJ (30 miles) then Soquel (5 miles), go figure. At least they were nice, and I did get my package before the scheduled time

Fedex sucks! My package was suppose to deliver to my work place. On their tracking it said that it has tried twice and on one there. Here's the problem: The times and days on both day everyone was at the office. On top of that, Fedex goes to my office all the time. I called them three times. The third time they said it was back at their facility because it was damage beyond deliver! What the heck?

Good thing it's not live stuff. It's my cat's xmas present! LOL... I'm not going to use Fedex anymore. I guess my cat will get her xmas present later!

I'm trying to track my package with the Tracking number the sender gave to me but its saying its not in the system yet! And it was supposedly sent on Tuesday!
