GS Maroon Pairing issues ..Help wanted

OK ... so I was about to bag the Little male up ...to take him to one of the local guys tank... As a whim I decided to take out the Damsel that has been protagonistic..and as the result disturbed the aquascape ..creating new territories...The 2 got cheek to cheek ...nothing even remotely resembling the previous behavior...just normal clown activities...So I think they are gonna be fine ..I am SO Excited!!! I will post tomorrow and let you all know... A hardy THANK YOU to all that posted and helped me ... More tomorrow ..

Regular Maroons you mean? ... I believe so , but lets see what somemore knowledgable folks say ....

I can't say that I know more than anyone else - this thread is the first I've read about how to tell if clowns have truly paired up or not. I'm going to keep an eye out for that kissing behavior mentioned above. A LFS accidentally ordered 26 maroons. When they discovered this, they paired up the maroons by size and put them into individual cube tanks. About 2 weeks later, we picked out this pair in mid-June. They happily share the gbta with an anemone crab. I haven't seen any aggression other than chasing off any fish that come super close to the gbta. They are pretty tolerant since the gbta attached his foot to a rock that is an overhang above one of the tunnels that the other fish use quite frequently. Of course, it's possible that the male has yet to develop his gold stripes but so far, he's a whitey.

That sure looks like a whitey.
I have the opposite, WSM female, GSM male.
I can't recall seeing the 2 paired and or bred by anyone else here.
I'm curious what the outcome will be, how the stripes will look...
I do like the combo though.
If your female allows that male to kick inside her nem like that I'm sure they've paired.
Keep us posted on the outcome.

My Maroons look Very similar to yours ... The small male was ordered as a GS but looks exactly like the one you have pictured.

I will post pics as soon as possible..We have a lot going on over here right now , but as soon as we have some time we will....
