GSMC needs a Date???

I thought about getting another Gold striped-maroon clown for my gal to see if they would get along w/ 1 another. But I would need to put them in another tank as the tank they are now would not allow for any shenanigans on their part. Would a 30 gal be too small for a pair to spawn? Also don't these gold stripe maroon clowns get bigger? I've had this one in a large tank (55 gal to start then a 125 gal) all its time while with me and it is no longer than ~ 3 inches. What do you all say on this???

I moved my pair of Maroons (one gold stripe, one white stripe) from a 75g to a 25g to keep the peace at one point. They stopped breeding for a short while but resumed laying eggs after 3 or 4 weeks and have continued to do so every other week since. Having said that, they are big enough to deserve a larger tank.

I recently purchased a very small about 1" GSM for my bigger clown who I think is female, she's about 3" in length.

There was aggressiveness happening and she beat up the little guy pretty good, but having a 48" length tank, the little guy was able to move far enough away to recoup get away from the aggressiveness.

The little guy does the twitch!!! and is displaying his submissiveness. It's officially a month and now they got along well and the little one has almost healed fully, but not yet able to host with the his big lady friend.

From what I read and been advised they are extremely hard to pair up since they are the most aggressive of the Clowns and having a small tank I would think would make it much more of a challenge.

Good Luck.
