GSP and lighting

depends on the size of the tank all the way. Like if its just a 30g tank, or maybe even a 40-55g tank it would be fine up higher. But more is better.

in a 40 with only 2x65 (btw, are the lights side by side, or are they set up the long way?) then i'd at least put it halfway up. How tall is the tank?

they are side by side in an aqualight fixture. Tank is 24" by 24" and about 14" from top of water to the substrate. I could take the legs off of the light fixture and drop the light a couple inches closer?

since the sand makes the water only 14 inches deep, i'd say they'd be fine pretty much anywhere. And like i said, the higher up they are, the better. But do you have em' in there now? They're not that light needy, but do like the light a lot nonetheless.

Actually just moved them. It is a 10" piece of rock covered in gsp and about 6" high. It was in my fowlr for about a month but I was starting to notice some bare spots. Not sure if it was any of the angels in the fowlr. Didn't want to take a chance so I moved it to my seahorse tank.
