GSP Disappearing?

I've noticed that one of my two mats of GSP is starting to diminish.. It hasn't happened quickly and the other set seems to be 100%. Even the GSP that's disappearing looks healthy and is fully extended every day. Not really sure what is going on. I did notice one of my large turbos pretty deep into my other patch of GSP, though while I was examining the tank just now. But I wouldn't think that would be a cause of anything.
The first two pictures are the patch that is disappearing and the second is across the tank where I found one of my turbos.

Update - I pulled that nasty turbo off the GSP and it actually looks like the holes where the stalks come out of are gone! I might be seeing things but this doesn't look good. Should I just pull out the rogue turbo or is this just a normal thing?

Actually you should be happy it's not taking over your tank. But if that's what you want then yeah remove the snail

I really do like GSP but won't put it or any coral similar because they do take over. But from the looks of your pictures you found the reason.
