so i have a relatively new tank and i have a couple of ricordias and a hammer and a blasto and of course a frag plug with some gsp on it...so when i first got it it was super green got home acclimated it everything went well 3 heads opened up within the hour and the whole thing opened the next day fast forward 2 weeks from then i did a water change and as i was sitting there messing with the fish i noticed there was gobs of green goo/gunk floating everywhere and the fish started to chase it and eat and i couldnt figure out what happened and then i noticed my gsp was no longer green but purple from base to tips all the green fingers were gone so i figured something mustve changed or it was under stress so here we are 3 weeks later and the tips of the fingers are green but not the whole thing and i just did a water change and about 15 min later as i walked by i see my fish chasing something from the corner of my eye and it discharged the little bit of green it had regained of course the fish ate it before i could take a picture so the coral seems fine opens up moves in current and does its thing but it just looks dull has anybody experienced this before or even seen it?????? ive searched and read a bunch of places of different stuff happening but nothing like this

10g nano
1 clown
1 sapphire damsel
1 blue spotted yellow watchman

I am not sure what your fish are chasing but the base of GSP is generally purple. If it is still there than you can count on it coming back.

I have had euphyllia melt a polyp and the tentacles go floating around the tank, check your hammer for missing flesh.

Well the hammer is fine...but the green stuff comes out of the tips from the gsp I wish I had gotten a picture because it was still stringing from it when I get home I'll post a pic of the little bit of green there is that's left on it

Never heard of polyp bailout in GSP but it may be possible. I still say that it will likely come back if the purple mat is present. When GSP sulks there is no visible green, just a little dot like a blackhead.

Have you tested for ammonia or super high nitrate seeing as it is a new tank? What are the rest of your parameters at?
