It won't grow in my tank, why? It is in a 40 breeder, has a fair amount of flow, about a 25x turnover rate, and is under 150w halides. I have had the setup for 2+ years and they have not spread at all. In fact, about half of them don't even have green polyps, although they do open up every day. They are in the upper middle half of the tank. My zoa's are spreading, as is my xenia, lps are happy as well. I do water changes of 5 gal every 2 weeks. I started dosing aquavitro vibrance about a month ago after testing for iodide and discovering that it was too low to even register on the test. Since then everything in the tank has responded very well to the dosing, except the gsp. Even my 2 bta's have started to bubble again. Light bulbs are coming up on 9 months old, but they had very poor color and no growth for the life of the bulbs, they are 14k pheonix bulbs. Other params are alk-9.5, ca-400, nitrates-10-20, mag-1300. There was a period of about 3 months where my alk got down to around 6.5, but that was at least 3 months ago. I lost a couple of small sps frags but nothing else in that time. I also run carbon in a reactor and change it out every month. Any ideas?
