They look like Pincushion Urchin's

I've got one on my tank, but he's green... Pretty cool guy, You have to make sure your rock-work and corals are secure though, cuz he's strong enough to move them if he gets wedged.. .
and he will pick empty shells and sometimes live snails up and keep them on his back...
alot of people dont like them because they eat the coraline algae off the rocks.. but if you have alot of rock like I do it grows back fairly quick !!!
What else do you find off the coast???
