Are there any LFS that will give you any credit for fancy guppies? My daughters tank has about 30 and more just showed up. The females just keep having babies

That's the million dollar question. My daughter had to have the guppies also. Let me know if you find a place....the guppy tank is crowded over here too!

Can guppies be switch to Saltwater? I don't know if they are in the Mollie family or not, just thought I would ask.

Yeah, you can take guppies salt. I have done it a few times but it took me a long time to acclimate them to their new home. They tend not to do as well in salt as the mollies, but it can be done. I dripped them on a slow drip for about 2 days as I had a 20L full of them, and they lived for a while (~a year) until I sold off that setup.

would your daughter cry if you fed the extras to anemones and larger fish?

or included them in your next batch of homemade frozen fish food?

that is a good idea on the food! I was just hoping to get 50 cents credit for them. The she could buy more FW fake electric blue plants. I am going to call a few places and see. If not then I will use some in the next batch of food. She just wont know.

good idea on the plants, she's learning to make her hobby self supporting, too bad the rest of us cant do the same...she should host a seminar or something

You can get a water snake from Andys and put them in a water dish and the snake will go into the bowl and eat up the guppies.

Pretty cool.

my Frontosa tank will love the guppies as a treat... starve the tanks for a few days and drop them in... The fronts would love them. If they are free PLMK.

more young girls need to experience the joy of snakes so they aren't always afraid of them
