H.magnifica from Madagascar

i used radiums for several years, then i dabbled in hamiltons, back to radiums, and currently am using XM 20ks...and have been impressed thus far in their color and brightness.

Ron uses single ended's afaik.

You would be suprised, some of these magnifica's are found alot deeper than you would think. My mag has done fine under 20k radium's with lumenarc reflectors.

I think you may be correct , and it may be one of reason why the blue tip one stay where it is and never moved. The rock it is on is about a foot lower than the rocks and corals around it. Further more, the rock fell 4 feet to the bottom several times in the past year. It stays at the bottom until I put it back in its position.

But the new one moved to the top with in one week!

With 1000w, not much choices for bulbs, so I do hope it will adjust.

I am away until Friday so the only pictures are in mine photobucket site. The above link will take you to mine phtobucket site( hotel internet connection is a little slow).

i think about your tank often so very unique and special.

i wont get to see them though because i will be on vacation as well starting friday, i will have my laptop but no internet where im going, and it will take at least a week to get the satelite internet turned back on... so i will have to go to the library and use their wireless :)

This is a very bad addiction:) I can't leave home without mine lap top either, and to checking into to mine reef tank every other hour.
No internet connection? That is going to be a long long vacation if was me.:)
