Hey everyone.

Does anyone know a business around South Florida where dwarf seahorses are sold? It shouldn't be too hard to find one, but I haven't found one in a search yet. I just want to go drive over and pick some up. Please help!

Thanks!

Unless you can find them in a LFS there aren't any companies down here that you can purchase them on site, you have to do Mail Order. I would reccomend Seahorse Source up in Ft. Pierce. Also, check in the FMAS forum here it's the local club down here and they have a thread with all the salt friendly stores for Dade and Broward on an excel spreadsheet.

I know there are a ton of places you could actually collect them yourself in Florida in the seagrass.

Not sure how legal that really is, or is your really want a WC horse, (as these tend to have more issues)

There is a guy on ebay who sells them pretty cheap, he has the liscence to collect them & that is where I bought my dwarfs!! =)

His name is Dana, not sure of his id on ebay, but just do a search & you will find him!

His store on the internet is ccritters.com. He won't be back until Sept. 16th or 17th from vacation. He also carries TR dwarf seahorses.

I've heard yo can collect them off Hobie Beach by Key Biscayne in the grass beds there or anywhere in the keys, just look for the grass. All you need to collect them is a saltwater fishing license for Florida.

Yeah, a friend of mine works for c critters. He tells me they haven't found any zosts, which is a little disappointing... But the self-collecting on Hobie Beach sounds good... I'll keep trying! I do have a seine and my roommate has the fishing license
