Haddoni care!.. might get one this week

With all the new haddoni's being posted on the forum.. I became very interested.. My LFS said they will have a couple this week.. one blue and one green. Hopefully they look healthy and not too big.

I'm running AI LED's on my 60G cube (24 inch deep). I understand these guys like to be on the sand right? The only spots I have for it is on the left corner of the tank or the right corner of the tank. They are a little weak on light compared to the middle and top of the rock work.

In terms of Par units, will 100-200 par be enough for these guys?

Also, do you use gloves when handling these anemones? I hope my snowflake's like the haddoni!!!

Lastly, I hope it doesnt move too much. I have a buncha coral and don't want them getting stung!

They like to bury their column in the sand, they do not like to be blasted with flow, not sure about your lighting but mine is kept under 150 watt halides. I don't use gloves, but when I first put my blue one in I almost killed it trying to get it off of my hands. They seem pretty hardy once established; finding a healthy one is a challenge (at least for me).

+1 stuper sticky, i thought i was gonna kill mine trying to remove it from my hand, you play the game of get if off with 1 hand, then try getting iit off with the other hand, the back to the other hand.. so be careful with that =P

and it def is challenge... idk how well your LFS is but if its a nice looking place and they got nice QT tanks, maybe ask them to hold it in 1 of there tanks for 4 weeks or w/e to reduce stress (if you have to put a deposit down on it sometimes) but if it travels to the store, gets acclamated to there tank, and before fully acclamating then pulled out, then travels to your tank, could put it under some stress..

How much sand do I need? I have about 2 inch height right now.

Mine is about 2 to 3 inches

They don't like a lot of flow either. If their oral disk is moving much, they'll be more prone to moving on you.
