Haddoni keeps climbing onto rocks

So I have had a green haddoni for about a month now. Since I have had it, it keeps attaching to rocks and moving away from the sand. I have gently moved it toward the sand bed twice and it goes in the opposite direction. I know it isn't at a 100% because it's mouth remains slightly open and it inflates and deflates almost daily. Water parameters are:

pH 8.1
Temp 78
Nitrate 0
KH 7.5
Calcium 420

Tank is lit by 150 Phoenix 14k MH. Flow is provided by 2 maxi jet 1200 that alternate on and off. The anemone gets gentle alternating indirect flow. Tank is a 20 long with a 10 gallon sump. It used to be attached to my main system but I disconnected it in order to prevent any chemical interaction with my here tactics magnifica. Man, something about that nem looks like a sick gig. I wish I had advice for you. Maybe try the cipro treatment others have had luck with? Maybe it works for haddoni too?

I'm pretty sure it's a haddoni. It has short tentacles and no visible verecculae. It does seem to be behaving like a gig though moving up towards the light and current.

I believe the brand of cipro is aquatic. It has a purple clown on it. It cost me 17.49 on eBay. The tank has been setup for around 6 months but all the sand and live rock has been with me for over 3 years.

Yes your haddoni is sick, I have one just like it, and that puftup, climbing up on a rock, is a pretty good sign that it's sick. Mine is in Qt right now coughing up the little brown balls of death. He is doing much better now, thank goodness for cipro and Minh.

You could have created a mini cycle , or your levels may be eleveated if its only been setup for 6 months even though the sand and rock has been with you for years.. Its more abouit the bacteria population of the water IMO.
haddonis and gigs are hard to keep the way it is but in a new tank ( under a year) its even harder..
