Hey All,
So I have been doing research for several months now and I really want to do a tank with Haddoni as the centerpiece. I really do not need any other corals just a anemone and a pair of clowns. I am thinking of a 36 x 24 tank or a 24 x 24 tank. Are either of the tanks too small? Since the anemone is the centerpiece I want it to get fairly large. I only want a few pieces of live rock in the display with most of the bio filtration happening in the sump.
I also want a deep substrate(4-6in). But I do not necessarily need it to help with filtration just to be able to house the anemone. Would that depth be acceptable and if so what grain size should I aim for? How would I maintain either grain size?
Besides that I know they need low flow, high light, and stable parameters. I am months out from anything so I just want to plan everything out early.
Last questions is besides a pair of clowns could I keep anything else. I was more thinking about anemone crabs or sexy shrimp. And I am assuming snails to help stir the substrate. If I cannot add tankmates besides a pair of clowns THAT IS OK. I am just asking.
Sorry this is long lol thank you for any advice. This is my fourth saltwater tank so I have experience but not with anything this sensitive.
