Hadonni and bta

Would putting a very large hadonni in my tank with several btas cause any problems for any of the anemones? I know I would be risking my fish, but will there be alot of chemical warfare between the anemones? I could move some thing out of the center section of my tank and it would fit in there pretty nicely.

I could do that as well. I just kind af like it open in the middle. My main concern is the chemical warfare.

For little over a year I had a Haddonni together with several BTAs in my 75. The Haddoni looked okay, but was moving a lot. When I got it down to just one BTA, the Haddonni settled in a looked better. That lasted for about 6 months. The BTA started to split, so I ended up selling the clone and the original. After that the Haddonni looked so much better.

Granted your tank has more volume, so it might not be as bad. Just be ready to get rid of one if you need too. And suggest running carbon 24/7 and changing it often.

I don't have experience with this - and do like the look of an open center. but my best guess would be what OranguTang said... Move stuff to the center and give it the right side. It could look really cool with the BTA island on the left, a center coral stack maybe and then a Haddonni on the right. What color are you thinking of?

I just recently stopped running carbon. I was using it to help keep the water crystal clear. Once I started runnig ozone I stopped the carbon. I guess I could just start using it again.

Someone local is selling their 20" green for a good price. It has been in his tank for over a year so it is definitely healthy. My lfs also just got in a large green and a really large blue. I'd probably go with the green from the guy's tank because I know it's healthy. The ones in the store look good now, but you just never know how theyll respond to shipping and everything.

I think I'll take a good look at the tank tonight and decide if it will work, moving the right side to the center and opening up the right for the carpet.

Well keep us posted and you know the rules - lots of pics!!! Especially if you decide to start moving things around!

OK, I just spoke to the guy that has the 20" green. I'm picking it up Friday night. I guess I have some rocks to move tonight. I will of course post some pics afterwards.

You know - it might look cool (depending on your flow how you could do it) To have your center pile be taller than the other and kind of thin when looking at the front of the tank - almost stacked up like a wall - you could put corals on each side.. and it would be kind of like a divider? Anyway... just a thought.

Good for you. I actually have a green one coming on Saturday. Don't know what tank to put it in yet. Depends if I have time to re-do my 75, which is where I want to put it. If I don't, it will go with my blue one.

Thanks Kim, really love how deep the blue is. So tempted to put the new green one in that tank too, would look so great. But, it is a smaller tank.

That's easy to fix...Get a bigger tank.

Smart alleck. ;) Have a 29, 58, and 75 don't have room for another one.

The size of the new haddoni will really go a long way in deciding where I put it. (( and if I get the 75 redone or not ))

I know, space is tough to come by. I lost my argument with my wife about "Do we really need a couch and a sofa?" I said all I really need is one chair, but would settle on keeping the couch if we could get rid of the sofa. Another 180 would have fit perfect in the sofa spot. Needless to say I still have a couch and a sofa.
