When I had a huge HA problem I shortened my light cycle, removed the HA manually, scrubbed rocks with tooth brush, did 25% water changes at least once a week and added some turbos to the CUC and after about a month it was gone. If you think the turbos will die after all the HA is gone bring it back to the LFS or look at posts on your local reef clubs and I am sure someone is in need of help with a HA problem

Kent Tech M to raise MG above 1500 to 1600 for 2 to 4 weeks plus algaefix. Problem solved. Do some searches here on RC to back this up. algaefix may not be required if the high mag works. But if it does not, algaefix will get it done. My reef is super clean as a result....and yes my NO3 and PO4 are almost unmeasurable.
