Get yourself a sea hare. It will devour the hair algae like no ones business. also just because your water is not showing Phosphates or nitrates( i'd test with a different reliable kit) does not mean that they are not present. Phosphates can be present without being in suspention, live rock has a way of holding it . Run Phosphate remover, use only Ro/DI water and get a sea hare you will be amazed

Just be careful that your seahair doesn't get sucked into one of your pumps. Had that happen to me once. wasnt pretty. lol. actually I heard or read that if they die they release a blue colored toxin into the water and can kill certian corals or fish if there near it when its released.
