hair algae

I was wanting to know how to get rid of hair algae. I have had my aquarium going for a little over three years and now it has some hair algae.

get a couple of turbo snails, 1 per 10 gallons or so, i put 4 in my 45gallon tank and they cleaned it sparkly clean in 2 days

Yes! They cleaned up my tank quickly!

Yeah, the mexican turbo snails will really mow that stuff down. You can also run some chaeto or other macro algae in your sump or fuge to use up the nutrients that the hair algae thrives on.
