Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. I had a PO4 of .5ppm when I return from vacation and ever since I have been fighting a battle. I got the PO4 down to .1ppm.

what are you using to test your phos? because if it a salifert, your not going to get the best readings. how's the flow?

well everyone, several things...my seio powerhead stop working. I clean the unit and it is working now. I plan to replace both powerheads with Tunze. Next I did a 20 gallon water change. I have a 90 gallon tank.

I agree with Serioussnaps. I had dinos and it in a PITA to get rid of - not to be discouraging or anything:). Is your PH low? Mr. Calfo helped me get rid of mine. I kept my PH around 8.5 for 2 to 3 weeks and it just dissapeared. Cut your light down to the minimum during that time and siphon as much out as you can. Water changes fuel it so I found it useful to siphon through a UV and then into a fine mesh net. This way you are killing the dinos and returning the water. Run your skimmer real wet as well. HTH.

Good advice above so I will echo some thoughts. Increase flow in the tank, stabilize your pH at the higher end (8.2-8.4), clean your skimmer and adjust it for wet skimming, do some water changes from a good water source-check your RO/DI with a TDS meter, change out old bulbs, and make changes slowly. Many people (myself included) want to change too many parameters at once to our tanks. Slow adjustments are always the wisest.
