i posted this somwhere else but no one is responding to it, and i think it is more relevant here anyway: one of my snails crawled onto my heater and i was afraid he was going to be cooked. fortunately it was in the daytime when the heater doesnt come on much. i loosened the heater and shook it in the water a bit until the snail jumped off. but now, the snail is acting kind of brain damaged, he flipped over a couple times and i sat him back up, and he looked like he was trying to come out of his shell. i am worried about him. if the heater did come on, would he have been smart enough to jump off, or would he just sit there and cook?? he is just sitting on the bottom of the tank now, but im pretty sure he is still alive. do you think he will make it? (this is a 1/2inch astrea snail and a 100 watt heater)
