Halfblack Angelfish

What is the hardiness of this species and what has your experience been keeping them in your aquariums? Has anyone kept this species in pairs or harems before? I am just looking for experiences you have with the fish and what advice you can give me on its general hardiness such as easiness to get eating when received and its mortality rate.

Supposedly very Hardy, as far as dwarf angels go. Fenner mentions them on wet web media several times, describing them as a service account staple and bulletproof.

Don't know about pairs or harems. Maybe in a large tank (6ft +)

All centropyge spp are protogynous hermaphrodites and haremic, according to Scott Michael's angelfish book.

I didn't see the halfblack on there or mentioned, was why I asked.

Don't have any experience on harems for the Halfblack, but they are very hardy and laid back of the Dwarfs, but will hold it's own. May be shy at first but will adapt to it's new surroundings very quickly.
