Halichoeres Nebulosus

I've had pretty good luck with the Halichoeres Genus.

My H. Claudia was the most invert crazy and aggressive to this point while H. Iridis and H. Leucurus have been almost model citizens.

To the question: I snagged an H. Nebulosus at my LFS today. Do any of you have first hand experience with them? I've found very little out there on these guys but am liking the size (4-5" max) and coloration.

He settled into QT nicely today.

Thanks in advance,

Adam

Mine was incredibly hardy and long-lived. However, mine became aggressive to new wrasses in a 45 gallon - though it never bothered other types of fish. If your tank is larger, or it's one of the last wrasses you're adding, you may not see the same aggression.

He'll be going in my 178 gal SPS reef after Tank Transfer and full 8 weeks in Qt. There should be plenty of room to move.

Thanks for the reply,

Adam

I've found that as they grow, so does their aggression towards other wrasses. Personality wise they are much closer to the green coris wrasse H. chloropterus, than much of the other small Halichoeres species. They have had to be removed from the reef tanks they were in, anf much better suited toward FOWLR.
