Help. I got two new Halimeda plants shipped via ups one was green and one was verigated and much lighter. It is now turning almost completely white and I think my water in quarantine tank is beginning to cloud. Is it going to die should I take it out. The second plant looks great. Thank you for any help.

The tank clouded and the two fish in quarantine don't look happy breathing a little heavy. Took the plant out did water change and the water is still cloudy. I want the fish to be ok.

It's dying and reproducing, do another water change because it can cause ammonia and nitrite nitrate spikes amongst other harmful things.

Have done three water changes. The fish are alive and the water is starting to clear. I hope they will be ok. I was so afraid they would not make it almost moved them to my dt. I will see how they are doing in the morning. They have been in quarantine tank for over two weeks may move them next week if they are ok. Thank you for answering me.

If in doubt always neutralise your water, by that I mean apply some thing like ammo lock, it detoxifies the ammonia if any, plus helps stabilize PH and will save lives.
That one is a heavily calcium based algae making it a semi flexible coralline form, the base will regenerate a new plant/cluster in time.
