Halimedia (sp?)

I've finally got my tank running right after a couple of years of trial and error. Now I've got Halimedia sprouting from some of the rock. Should I encourage its growth or try to get rid of it?

if you like it, let grow, just keep it pruned. If you don't like it now is the time to take it out.
